who is a good candidate for laser liposuction?
If you are considering liposuction, we will assess your skin to see if it is healthy enough for fat reduction. If you have moderate to severe loose skin, liposuction may not give you the outcomes you think it will. Liposuction is not a skin tightening procedure — it only removes fat.
At the time of your initial consultation, Dr. Eller or Lisa, PA-C will set realistic expectations of what liposuction can and cannot do for your appearance.
Our liposuction technique
Laser Assisted Liposuction is performed in our office under local tumescent anesthesia so there is no discomfort during your treatment. This technique minimizes the risks and adverse events experienced with traditional liposuction performed under general anesthesia. A very small incision is made for the liposuction cannula to be placed under the skin to safely remove unwanted fat. The cannula consists of a laser that will gently liquefy fat cells to make them easier to remove.
After Your liposuction procedure
Since BeautiFill Liposuction is performed under local anesthesia, you will be able to recover quicker after your procedure as compared to traditional liposuction. It's normal to have swelling, tenderness and bruising for 1 – 3 weeks. We will provide you with a compression garment for you to wear for 4 weeks after your procedure to promote optimal healing and results. We will continue to care for you during your follow up visits and ensure you will receive the best results possible. Results can be seen as early as 4 weeks, but full results will be appreciated in 6-12 months.
