Meet Dr. Richard Eller

Board-certified general surgeon Richard Eller, M.D. at Vital Aesthetics in Dallas, TX is a specialist in the fields of general surgery, medical aesthetics and bariatric medicine (non-surgical weight management). Dr. Eller utilizes extensive aesthetic knowledge and expertise to address concerns in appearance of the face, skin and body, while guiding his patients to achieve optimal health and overall wellness.

Dr. Eller is proud that Vital Aesthetics is designated as a "Center of Excellence" with Alma Lasers. He travels across the nation to speak on behalf of Alma Lasers as a recognized expert in the field of medical aesthetics. He also travels to train other physicians on Laser Liposuction and Fat Transfer using Alma's BeautiFill device, and frequently attends continuing education seminars for the advancement of his own techniques.

Education And training

Dr. Eller is a Plano, TX native and graduate of Plano Senior High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Baylor University, and subsequently journeyed to Texas A&M University.  There he earned a bachelor’s degree in basic medical science, a master’s in biochemistry, and a medical degree from the College of Medicine. Dr. Eller completed a five-year residency in general surgery at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas, TX, then concluded his surgical training in Nashville, TN as Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s first advanced laparoscopic general surgery fellow. He returned to Plano in 1996 and established his private practice in General Surgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Eller has maintained a vigorous continuing education schedule and strives to provide the most up-to-date treatment options available to his patients.

Personal

Dr. Eller and his wife, Dr. Michele Cavenee, reside in Plano, where they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.  When not at the office, he and his family enjoy traveling and making connections everywhere they go.
